New Sewing Printables & Stamp Giveaway, See Word Art Wed Challenge!

Hi Everyone come check out our New Vintage Sewing line and leave a comment to be entered to WIN ALL of IT!

I've come back and added links to the first 3 items of our New Printable Sewing Theme Line in our online store. The printable papers, stamps and ephemera will be added this week and you can see previews below.

Update: Cindy, our talented graphic designer is back, feeling a bit better and waiting to go for tests.  Please keep her and our shipper Shelley who is currently in the middle of chemo treatment in your prayers and thoughts. Shelley adds the nice free gifts to you orders and is battling - but also beating breast cancer.

Here's a link to the Creative Studio Printable Signs
All the printables are re-sizeable high resolution 300 dpi/ppi files you can print over and over (for personal use).

Here's a link to our $2.95 Printable Button Card Download with 8 fun high resolution cards on two pages in a mix of retro to Victorian floral themes. They make great card fonts, gift tags and embellishments for creative projects.

Here's an adorable sample that past DT member Marilyn McIldoon made using some drafts I took to the Victoria Show where she helped us.

Here is a link to our $2.95 Printable Bobbin Cards which can be re-sized, cropped and printed over and over to create cards to hold ribbons and lace, or use as frames, gift tags, pockets, card fronts, etc. You can also reduce them to a small size to hold floss, twine and use as embellishments.

The rest of these items are coming but the Sewing Ephemera needs to be finished and I hope Cindy can return to work today

Here are the sewing papers with a few new ones added and there are still a couple more to finish.

You can see some of the Digital Sewing Stamps and Ephemera (like the flower button's Vicki stitched) here on my last post and there is more to come with a big sewing machine and more fun images like this awesome button card that is 8" x 8" at 300 dpi/ppi  (pixels per inch).

I feel rotten that I forgot to include info in my last post about us being a sponsor for Word Art Wednesday and the Design Team ladies including Karen Letchworth, Helen Phelps, Rea Custer, Gemiel Matthews and JoAnn Atterbury have all done a fabulous job creating samples Crafty Secrets products!  You can check it all out on their Blog and you still  19 hrs to enter the challenge and maybe win a $40.00 Crafty Secrets Gift Certificate!

Here are a couple of photos from the Sewing and Craft Show we were at in Abbotsford, BC this weekend.  Below is the talented Jessie Hurley teaching our Make n Take and it was a fun weekend!  Sometimes it feels like a love fest when the booth is filled with excited women and you hear them all making happy sounds when they see something they like and get fired up with creative ideas.

Look - there is a man in the booth!  A rare occurrence but we actually had a couple of men do our make n take at the last show.

I'm super excited for you to see the fantastic projects our DT ladies are creating for our Challenge and Linky Party starting this Monday, April 1/13!
Check out this awesome card DT member Darlene Pavlick sent me using one of the button cards and papers.

Please leave a comment and tell me what you like or don't and I will draw a winner next Monday, April 1 when our April Linky Party starts.  I know on Facebook some people said they don't do digital and - it is my goal to find a company to license some of our products - so keep your fingers crossed but don't overlook all of the advantages digital offers!  I will cover the Pros & Cons on my next post.

We leave tomorrow to stay at a friends house in AZ for a week but I'm bringing my laptop and will post from there.

Wishing you joy and creativity!

I've been obsessed with collecting old sewing catalog, magazines and books for years now and have been itching to use it.    The stamp images need to be divided up as there are more I haven't shown and they are so COOL and BIG! The dress forms are up to 10" tall.

There is also a Button set in the works and a stitching one but they will come later.

Vintage Easter 2013 Printable, Linky Winner, Fab New Samples, Show Photos, Coupon, 3D Printers!

Hi Everyone,

I have our 2013 Easter Printable gift for you and it's a cute chick with Pussy Willows which would look great with a bit of Fun Flock added. I also have the random.org winner for our March Linky Party (which had 26 fantastic entries), photos from the Sewing and Craft Show we exhibited at this weekend, a 2 for one coupon for the Mar 22 and 23/13 Creative Stitches and Craft Show we will be at in Abbotsford, BC, plus - some fabulous samples!

We often have seasonal printable gifts as a thank you for your support. You can see past free vintage printables here on our Pintrest Board or scroll down the right side of this blog.  Just left click it until it gets as big as possible and right click it to save to a picture file (for personal use only).

Thanks so much to everyone who entered this months Linky Party for posting all the fantastic creations!  You've all won a $6.00 Crafty Secrets Gift Certificate in our www.CraftyVintageGirl.com Store.  Congratulations to random.org $50.00 Gift Certificate winner was #23 Kristina Anderson.  Too bad all of the photos didn't show up but the links all work.  I will do a tutorial on 'How to post to a Linky Party' as it can be a bit tricky.
Okay, now I have some cool samples to show you!  DT Leader Vicki Chrisman was playing with our Queen Bee Digital Art Stamp Set and she created 3 different sized projects with a 10 x 10" Tile, a card and labels for a glass bottle. You can see all 3 samples here on Vicki's Blog as well as her new Blog design by Shelia Rumney

Look at this super pretty Easter card DT Member Michele Kovack created using our Spring Chicks Digital Stamp Set and paper from CD 1, Creating With Vintage Patterns.  See details on Michele's Blog.

DT Member Darlene Pavlick made some cute chocolate bar pocket holders using a bunny and words from our Bunny Hop Digital Stamp Set and you have to check out the cool gate fold card Darlene created on her blog as well

DT Member Rebekah Fairies made a couple of stunning Easter baskets and used our Printable Easter Eggs for the lids.  See details here on Rebekah's Blog.

We had a double booth this weekend at the Sewing and Craft Show in Victoria, BC and met so many new and old friends it was  wonderful!  Past DT Member Marilyn McIldoon came and helped us again this year at the show and she was a fantastic help!

We took turns running the make n take table and ladies (and a few men) created some beautiful samples using an array of our products.  Marilyn finished this pretty card at home

Here are some photos of the booth.  It takes ages to set up as I bring so many samples and props but that's what makes it more fun.  We will be at the Creative Stitches and Craft Show in Abbotsford, BC on Fri and Sat Mar 22 and 23/13 and if you can make it I have a 2 for 1 coupon below.  The talented Jessie, who recently closed her Cherish the Thought Store will be coming to help run our make n take table, plus I have a big bucket filled with rolls of antique sheet music, old postcards, books, clearance craft supplies and all of our items which are on sale!

Now I have something totally crazy to show you and maybe I'm behind with techno inventions but I just discovered this weekend when chatting with designer and author Marie Browning at the sewing show that there are 3D Printers and also 3 D Pens  on the market for consumers now and they are going to become more advanced and the hot new gadget in the next few years.  Imagine being able to print 3D vintage jewelry, embossing plates, eye glasses, home decor, etc. Check out this 3D printing article by freshome on home decor

Wow - can you imagine what changes we will see in technology in the next 5 years?  It's a bit overwhelming and exciting!

Wishing you joy creativity

Welcome to March Linky Party & Spring DT Challenge

Hi Everyone,

It's our March Linky Party and our Design Team Challenge and this month the theme is Spring. You don't need to post a 'Spring' sample to enter our Linky Party.  You can post a photo of anything you have created using a Crafty Secrets product and enter it below.  All we ask is that you tell us what you used to create it and please add a link if here possible.  Also scroll below to see winner for all 5 Easter -Spring theme Digital Stamp Sets!

Come see what fabulous creations our Design Team ladies have created and then come back to see my project below.

Vicki Chrisman -Team Leader

Michele Kovack

Darlene Pavlick

Melissa Bove

Rebekah Faries

The lucky winner was #48 Brenda Evans Brenda, you can have all 5 Easter-Spring theme Digital Art Stamp Sets or pick any digital items of $40.75

I used CD 2, Creating with Vintage Illustrations to make a few samples using the same image three different ways

I printed my image on canvas and added it to a 6" embroidery hoop. I wanted to use the cute bird from the corner of the paper so I cut and added it but then for the card I pasted the bird at the top of the nest and added the roses. I think I like the twig and need to stitch it on across the bottom.  The nice thing about embroidery hoops is that you can easily switch the image out to suit an occasion and the seasons.

I love the pop of color the pink roses add.
This is a little gift tag below I made.  I used the oval shaped icon on the Paint program to make a brown circle and just cut around it.  If you own any of our CD's and you have Photoshop Elements; each CD has a fantastic step by step tutorial by digital expert Patty Debowski from thedigitalscrapbookteacher.com   The tutorial is the same on each CD and covers all the basics. Patty included thumbnail photos and easy to understand instructions on:  Making a Blank File, How to Change Colors, Building a Layered Project, Adding Text, Adding Drop Shadows, Cropping a Scrapbook Page, How to Use a Paper Pattern Overlay, Using Blending Modes, and Adding Texture.

I hung it over our telephone desk in a little bare spot.  I wanted to add some little copper color seed beads to the nest last night but couldn't find a needle skinny enough.Has anyone ever done seed beading and is it easy?  Is there a trick to it or do you just stitch them on? Hey, I just remembered I can ask my friend Google how to seed bead.

Now it's your turn to add a sample you have created using any of our products!  You have all week to submit anything you have created using our products. A random.org Winner will be announced next Mon, Mar 11/13 to WIN a $50.00 Crafty Secrets Gift Certificate.  Don't be shy - come play because every person that enters will receive a $6.00 coupon code to use in our www.craftyvintagegirl.com Store!

Wishing you joy and creativity

Hi Everyone,

I have links to all 5 of our new Easter and Spring Digital Stamp Sets and a Giveaway for all 5 sets which runs until this Monday, Mar 4 /13 when our March Linky Party and Design Team Challenge starts. (or pick $40.75 in other digital items).   Just leave a comment on this post and tell us what sets you like.  You can see the preview sheets with sizing on the links below or on my last post here.  I also have some great links and samples!

These are the sets you can win or pick any other digital items worth $40.75

Easter Blessings Digital Art Stamp Set  $9.95

Easter Chicks Digital Art stamp Set $9.95

Easter Bunnies Digital Art Stamp Set $9.95

Bunny Hop Digital Art Stamp Set $6.95

Springtime Love Digital Art Stamp Set $3.95

Here's a pretty card that Cindy van Koll, our graphic designer created with the Easter Blessings Digital Art Set by printing the color window included (also includes the B&W window 8" x 10") on one side of plain white card stock along with one of the sentiments she changed to gold. She used a sharp blade to cut between the window out as shown.  See photo #2 below

Cindy glued the inside of the card to the front and added an card stock easel to the back so it stands up.  I love the way the window opens so we've included this color card with the crop lines and poem with the stamp set download.

I used the Easter Bunnies Digital set to quickly color this sign using Paint (check as 'Paint' is installed on many computers) or a free download.  See my digital coloring post here using the same cheating technique and my post using chalks and Glimmer Mist to water color paint

DT Member Darlene Pavlick has posted a great step by step tutorial on creating a 'Gate Fold Card' on her blog and used one of the eggs from our Pretty Vintage Easter Eggs and you get 4 fronts and backs for $2.99

DT Member Melissa Bove gave a little wire dress form a fabulous make-over using papers from our Radiant Paper Download and our Material Girl (now a Digital set).  You can see more photos of the dress form on here blog and enter her $200.00 Visa Gift Card Giveaway Here.

DT Member Rebekah Fairies created this adorable pincushion sewing kit in a jar and wrapped extra floss around a little floss card she made using the same Material Girl Digital Art Stamp Set.

Okay, don't forget to leave a comment here to enter our Spring Giveaway for all 5 of our new Easter sets or you can pick the same $$ dollar amount in other digital products.  I will post the random.org winner this Monday. Mar 4/13 at our March Linky Party and Design Team Spring Challenge.

I hope you will join us and post a sample you have created using any of our products!  Everyone who enters will receive a great download - to be announced Monday

I'm sad that our DT leader Vicki Chrisman is leaving today to head home to Nebraska. The week she was here flew by.

Wishing you joy and creativity
