Winner, Thinking of You to Christmas Samples and More!

I have so many things to share today! We have a winner for the last blog post with a 158 entries and it was # 153, Paula Clare. Thanks so much to everyone for your all your great ideas and feedback on the CD's! Your wishes confirmed we are on the right track!

Here are the 3 new Clear Art Stamp Sets Paula won (Down on the Farm, Christmas Mail, and Little St. Nick) but she can switch them out for any same size sets if she likes. She will also get a copy of our first CD as soon as it's available (by Dec).

Look at this adorable ATC card DT member Pam Hooten just created using our new little Christmas Mail stamp set.  I love the way she used several of the stamps, added a scallop glitter roof, stitched on white paper to create 'snow banks' and the string with the stamped label gives a tied gift effect. You can see more details HERE on Pam's blog.

Here is our first Down on the Farm samples designed by DT member Marisa Grosson and I was so excited to see how well the stamps worked to build a scene. I'm sad to say Marisa is leaving our DT. She has created so many amazing samples over the last few years (see her blog and our Gallery) but her busy schedule isn't  leaving her much time to create. The good news is she is still going to send me samples when she has time - like this cute card!

Look at this pretty layout our DT Guest Sheila Rumney created with a photo of her Grandmother and her. I love the soft pastel colors she choose and the way she paired them with our Birds & Blossoms Creative Scraps.   Details HERE on Sheila's blog.

Marcy Talbert is hosting a fun 'Thinking of You, Make it Two' challenge over at Splitcoast this week in support of the Hope You Can Cling To Campaign we are sponsoring. The idea is to create 2 cards and send 1 to offer support to ladies fighting breast cancer. You can get details HERE from Marcy and see the Gallery HERE.  Look at the 2 sweet cards Marcy designed!

Look at these pretty 'pink ribbon cards. This one is by DT member Michele Kovack created using ladies from our Girlfriend Image Booklet and you can get the details HERE on Michele's blog. You can see more photos for the Pink Ribbon Challenge HERE that Pammy Jo hosted last week. Pammy was diagnosed 6 years ago and recently celebrated 6 years cancer free!

Here is another cute pink ribbon card DT leader Vicki Chrisman created with a matching teddy bear using Artsy Banners and Lucky Wishes stamp sets.  I'm not sure why Michele's or Vicki's cards don't show in the gallery but I'm guessing they didn't add the code that is assigned to each challenge? Details HERE on Vicki's blog.

DT member Flo from France designed this fantastic little album with a friendship theme using a mix of our Clear Art Stamps  (on our new website under construction) and Creative Scraps, an Embellish Scrap Album, Making Memories papers and Prima flowers. You can see 15 photos with all the wonderful details HERE on Flo's blog and there is a translator box on the right side.

Look at this cute Halloween card DT member Julie Campbell made using the Bingo card and little witch from our Halloween Creative Scraps! You can get the details and see some Halloween fun decor ideas (I love the photo of her aunt with the little mask) and save the yummy bread recipe HERE on Julie's blog.

Julie also created this vintage Christmas wall hanging using images from our Christmas Creative Scraps, Graphic 45 paper and one of the chipboard album pages from our Rectangle Album. We recently had these re-cut and need to add them to the Shopatron store as this was the best selling album. More details HERE on Julie's blog.

Lastly, I just spotted this adorable card HERE on DT member Melissa Phillips blog and had to share it with you. Melissa loves our Altered Fairy Scraps and I think it's the cute children but there are so many creative possibilities with this 1 sheet of Scraps, especially now that they are double sided!  But... the single sided Fairy Scraps are still on sale while supplies last HERE and are a great deal.

All of our products are available wholesale to stores, so please tell your favorite retailer if you would like to see Crafty Secrets in their store.  We are in 22 countries now but we get regular emails from people around the world trying to find our products. We are doing a giveaway for 3 of our new Clear Art Stamps pictured here. Down on the Farm has arrived and is starting to ship to stores. So please tell your fav store if you like this set and they may order it in for you.

This set is down right FUN with 25 separate stamps and so many images you can create scenes with - plus lots of mix and match words. The animals and children are fun to color and you can stamp the 2 fences together and add the barn with the cow, pony, chicken, rooster, pig and dressed crow. The 'Down on the Farm' lettering is from antique sheet music and almost 3" wide. It would look great stamped on a T-shirt, as well as 'Country Girl' or 'Country Boy'.

This new small stamp set SS18 Christmas Mail is in stock as well and the 11 separate stamps turned out so cute! The Santa sitting on the box holding a key is over 2 x 1.5” and the little girl at mailbox is 2” H. There is also a Dec 25 North Pole date stamp, postmark mark lines, 2 snowflakes and sentiments. ‘Dear Santa' fits on the letter the little girl is holding. She will also make an adorable Valentine stamp.

This is a brand new small Clear Art Stamp set called Little St. Nick and we are awaiting it's arrival next week. It has 4 separate stamps with Merry Christmas and the little Santa (an old Campbell's Soup boy) would look cute with white Fun Flock on his fur trim. I love the little animals Cindy, our graphic designer add to his bag! The stars and the moon are separate.

Okay, I said in my last post I would have a free printable gift for you and it's a wonderful design from the inside cover of an antique book.  I thought the colors were perfect for Autumn projects. Just right click on the image with your mouse a couple of times to get it jumbo sized and save it to a picture file. You can size it to print the pattern small or large.      * Please remember this is copyrighted and for personal use only.

I've been busy sorting through 1000's of designs for some CD's we are working on and I have so many fantastic color and B&W floral prints, damask, antique wallpaper, retro, botanical and more. I would love to get your feedback on the CD's!   If you can answer a couple of questions on this blog post you will be entered to win these 3 stamp sets and later when the first CD is finished I will send you a copy as well!

Besides color designs, would you like some in B&W that you can print on solid cardstock or add custom colors with mediums like Glimmer Mist?

What designs do you want most?  What about large images such as birds and flowers you can color?

Would you like to see finished samples and projects on the CD?

Last of all, here is a link to our new website! Right now it's still under construction and our webmaster Karin has transferred many of the pages over from the old site and some will need to be updated. Please give us your feedback. Karin still has to finish the wholesale store so retailers can order online, then she will add a retail store, a gallery, videos and other fun stuff!  The best part is the images get bigger now and have 1 or 2 little samples with each of the stamp sets. Other samples will be added to all the product categories asap.

Okay, don't forget to leave some feedback on the the Paper and Image CD's to be entered to win the 3 Clear Art Stamps and our first CD!

Wishing you joy & creativity

Mini Albums, Layout & Cards - Oh My! DT Challenge & Giveaway Mon, Oct 18/10!

Hi Everyone,

I had some computer grief this week and got delayed doing a post but I have some great samples to show you today and some exciting news for this Mon, Oct 18 - to see our 'Sewing on Paper' DT Challenge, enter our giveaway for 3 NEW Clear Art Stamp Sets and take a peek at our new website!

We are teaming up with Spiltcoast for breast cancer this month with Hope You Can Cling To and you can win prizes (including a $50.00 gift certificate from us)!  Darelene Pavlick from Splitcoast is hosting a challenge this week over at Splitcoast with the theme of 'Encouragement' using any of our products and I adore this pretty card she made using an image from our new Little Blessings Creative Scraps! You can join in the fun and get all the details HERE and check out the Gallery HERE.

Look at this lovely card DT member Julie Campbell created using an image also from the Little Blessings Creative Scraps. You can read Julie's story of Hope HERE on her blog and see her Take Adventures card and post HERE

Talking about 'making it pink', I came across this really cute idea that DT member Heidi Blankenship had back in 2008 to stamp little labels for chocolate bars using our Support the Girls Stamp set. She also stamped a cute top for her chocolate box and dressed up a candle in the same theme. You can see all the details HERE in on Heidi's Blog.

Sheila Rumney is our Guest Designer this month and I wanted to show you this Sew Nice layout she designed with a photo of her sewing friend using our Sew Nice Creative Scraps and Material Girl Clear Art Stamp set. I think my fav thing you can do with the little 'thread floss card' on the stamp set, is to stamp it and wind real floss around the card after you cut it out. She added a couple of these little thread cards to her layout and you can see more photos HERE on Sheila's blog.

You can also check out the fun recipe card holder Sheila created using one of our Wood Albums (on sale for $4.95), our Kitchen Classics Stamps and a piece from our Domestic Goddess Scraps.

Okay, now I have some cute mini albums to share!  DT leader Vicki Chrisman designed a great recipe album  with our Domestic Goddess Creative Scraps and Sweet Stuff Stamps with a Maya Road 5 x 7" Binder Album that turned out so cute. She used the inside part of the Scraps here on her cover.

You can see all the pages and get the details HERE on Vicki's blog. You can also check out a great Spooky Garland Vicki created using our Halloween Creative Scraps HERE on her blog.

DT member Pam Hooten created this pretty mini album also using a Maya Road mini album with images from our Vintage Photos Creative Scraps

I love the way Pam did sort of a 'life lessons and blessings' theme inside her album using various photos from this set with a mix of the quotes and words. You can see more photos of the other pages HERE on Pam's Blog.

DT Member Melisa Phillips designed this lovely album using a combo of products including images from our Garden Creative Scraps and I adore the autumn colors and theme you can see HERE on Melissa's Blog.

Here is a Halloween album Melissa created using a bunch of our halloween stuff including the Oct month from our Seasonal Calendar Scraps and images from our Halloween Booklet and Halloween Scraps and Halloween Postcard Kit. I totally thought the witch on the front was from our Postcard kit but it is from Cavallinni. I think Melissa glued it to one of our chipboard postcards you get in our kit.

DT Member Heidi Blankenship taught classes a couple of weeks ago at the Memories Expo that Midland Care held in Kansas and they were a big hit with the ladies.

Here is a photo of one of the pennants from the cute Halloween Garland Class Heidi taught.

DT member Mary Hamer designed this pretty keepsake layout with an Autumn theme using the butterfly from our Halloween Cuts and a card back from our Vintage Photo Scraps.

On this layout Mary said she wanted to create a more neutral color palette so you can change the photo and used a little piece from our Sew Nice Scraps and I love her idea to stitch an elastic across the mat (see HERE on Mary's blog) and add the corners, so you can easily change out the photo.

Lastly I wanted to show you this cute 'Make a Splash' card that DT member Michele Kovack designed using our Bathing Beauties Clear Art Stamp set. You can get the details HERE on Michele's Blog.

Okay, don't foget to come back this Monday, Oct 18 to see our Stitching on Paper DT Challenge!

I will also be doing a great Giveaway for our 3 of our NEW Clear Art Stamp Sets - Down on the Farm, Christmas Mail and Little St. Nick!  Plus, I will have a printable gift for you, a PEEK at Our NEW WEBSITE and I'm excited to see what our DT ladies create!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Wishing you joy & creativity

WCMD Pink Challenge & Prizes, Oct DT Guest Sheila Rumney, Video Tutorials & Trip Photos!

Hi Everyone,

I’m back from our trip and the 2 shows we did and I have lots to share today! We have joined up Splitcoast Stampers to celebrate and and be a sponsor for World Card Making Day and Breast Cancer Prevention Month. There will be ongoing challenges all month and I have 2 challenges and 2 technique to share today. HERE is a link to see all the fabulous prizes donated - including a $50.00 gift certificate from us!

Lori Lynn Washburn is hosting a ‘Show Me Some Pink’ challenge using any of our products this week over at Splitcoast and you can get all the details HERE and you can see the Gallery HERE. Look at this very pretty card Lori created using an image from our new Little Blessings Creative Scraps!

We have a new guest designer this month! Please give a warm welcome to Sheila Rumney! Look at this very cool layout she created using a collage style with the inside side of our Birds & Blossoms Creative Scraps.

Sheila says she’s been blessed being a wife for 23 years and mother to 2 beautiful children that keep her life very busy. She loves all things distressed, worn and aged from antiques to primitive decor. This love and appreciation of all things old spills over into her creative process.

Sheila is on the Tattered Angels DT, she is a paper arts and jewelry designer, enjoys teaching and has 4 different blogs with links HERE to her inspirational quotes & photos blog, another to jewelry she sells and others to tutorials and kits she offers. On this vintage photo mat Sheila used images from our Little Blessings Scraps. You can see more photos and details HERE on her blog.

Okay, look at this pretty little sparkly card DT leader Vicki Chrisman created using one of the art deco houses from our Home Sweet Home Clear Art Stamps. Vicki doesn't have much confidence in her coloring skills along side some of the 'Copic Queens' on our design team but she is silly because this card is so wonderful and I love the way she added the Stickles! You can get all the details HERE on Vicki's Blog.

DT member Julie Campbell has been working on a mini memory album with her family photos and posting pages on her blog as she finishes them such as this page with her mom who creates dolls. I love the way she cut the black silhouette images from our Little Dolls Booklet here. If you scroll back on past posts you can see all the pages and HERE is a link to 2 of adorable cards she created with our new Little Blessings Creative Scraps!

DT member Mary Hamer designed this romantic and classy layout using a combo of our Artsy Banner and Bird Notes Clear Art Stamps and an lady from our Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes Booklet. You can see more details HERE on Mary's Blog.

Beate Johns designed this stunning card using our Rose Clear Art Stamp Set and I hope it gets big when you click it on so you can see the detail. Beate also recently finished 2 great technique videos showing a fantastic masking technique HERE with our   Vintage Christmas Stamp Set and how to create a weathered wood HERE on paper where she used our Poppy Clear Art Stamp Set!

Beate Johns over at Splitcoast also has a fun challenge with a lingerie theme HERE and you can see the cute card she created below using the electric corset ladies from our Girlfriend Creative Scraps.

Okay, now I have some photos to show you from our road trip to Alberta. We had a double booth at the Calgary Stitching & Crafting Show and then had the week off until we set up at the show in Edmonton last weekend. We met so many great ladies and had so much fun at both shows! This is a photo taken just before the show opened.

Here is a photo of my honey Scott (x 32 yrs!!!), who looks after the register and tells corny jokes.

This is me at the Banff Hotel which I thought was amazing as it was built nestled right in the Rocky Mountains in 1887! We stayed in Banff 2 nights (in a way less expensive hotel), went swimming in the hot springs and lucked out with beautiful sunny weather!

My husband Scott loves to travel and I can con him into working at any show as long as he gets to see some new sights and have a little  adventure – besides the show.  He planned lots of stops between the 2 shows including our first visit to Banff where we met the crazy guys on Banff Rugby team! They took first place last year and dressed up as ladies. This year they toured the town to celebrate 2nd place dressed as WWF wrestlers. They had Scott pose with them here and drink from their trophy cup. He's supposed to look tough but our daughters said he looks like he's crying.

Okay, I promise these guys were harmless and so much fun!  Their outfits were over the top wild and when they introduced themselves on the patio at the local legion pub they gave me a grand welcome to Banff!

Finally, I have to share these photos we took on our drive back home through the Rocky Mountains when we met a herd of big horn sheep (I think?) on the side of the road. They were so tame, they just walked right by our van.

I think Autumn is the most beautiful time of the year to do this trip. We took so many photos as the colors were breathtaking! Still, it's always nice to come home.

Most of these guys were really young and adorable!

That's all until next time.

Wishing you much joy & creativity!
